| What is the profile of the person who will optimize the use of technology in the ’front office’ not the back office in education? Posted by Jeanne Fri, Jul 17, 2009 - 4:57pm |
At NECC, Jim Shelton, Associate Deputy of the US Dept. of Education and Anik Chopra,. the Presidents' Advisor on Science and Technology spoke about the future. One of the needs they see is to drive technology into core learning. They see the current IT Directors as working (and over-working!) with little support on risk mitigation and security factors. So who must lead the 'front office' integration of technology into learning? The Superintendent? Building Principal? Curriculum Director? Technology Director? Who, in your opinion, can lead the charge? |
